Looking for some healthy holiday hacks to prevent derailing your hard work with holiday eating? Here are five tips from your coaches.

1. Consider Total Calories

  • Reduce intake at other meals throughout the day

  • Try to keep total daily caloric intake as close to normal

2. Reduce Portion Sizes

  • Enjoy a little of each item

  • Use a smaller plate so your plate feels fuller

3. Snacks

  • Snacks may be helpful to skip between meals to keep total daily intake down

4. Drink Plenty of Water

  • Thirst can often be mistaken for hunger

  • Extra stomach volume can be taken up with calorie-free water to stay fuller between meals and reduce snacking

5. Minimize Cocktails

  • Trade high-calorie cocktails for sparkling water with lemon or a dash of cranberry - both refreshing and healthy

  • Drink water between cocktails to help reduce consumption
