1. Consider Total Calories
Reduce intake at other meals throughout the day
Try to keep total daily caloric intake as close to normal
2. Reduce Portion Sizes
Enjoy a little of each item
Use a smaller plate so your plate feels fuller
Snacks may be helpful to skip between meals to keep total daily intake down
4. Drink Plenty of Water
Thirst can often be mistaken for hunger
Extra stomach volume can be taken up with calorie-free water to stay fuller between meals and reduce snacking
5. Minimize Cocktails
Trade high-calorie cocktails for sparkling water with lemon or a dash of cranberry - both refreshing and healthy
