SETTING YOUR GOALS

When it comes to establishing your goals, there are a few tricks to setting yourself up for success.

  1. Set specific and measurable goals.

  2. Set realistic but challenging goals.

  3. Set both short- and long-term goals. (The short-term goals should be what get you to your long-term goal.)

  4. Focus on performance and process goals - what you are physically going to do.

  5. Develop goal commitment. Be ready to make a change for the better!

  6. Develop goal achievement strategies. Plan for challenging situations.

  7. Get goal feedback and evaluation from your trainer, coach or peer.

  8. Set timelines to achieve goals.
