4 Tips for Working from Home

Many of us sit for extended periods of time, whether we are looking at or working on something in front of us. Sitting for long periods of time with our gaze in front of us can impact or musculoskeletal system. The changes can include forward head posture, rounded shoulders, thoracic back pain, and muscle stiffness in the neck, middle and upper back.

To reduce these impacts on your body, we encourage you to try these handful of tips:

  1. Practice proper posture.

  2. If you know you sit in certain positions for extended periods of time, find the time to move around.

  3. Take mini breaks, go for a short walk, or get up and stand while working.

  4. Start working out, because even this will lessen the chances of incurring low back pain.
