Youth Fitness Training

Elevate your kid's performance with training to maximize their potential. Decrease risk for injuries, increase their level of competitive play, and give your young star more opportunities for success. By training with Peak, youth athletes improve strength, endurance, speed, balance, power, and flexibility to perform at their best. 

Elementary Age: 6 - 10

Children at this age are working on improving strength, coordination, and self-esteem. Our focus is on aerobic and bodyweight strength activities such as running, jumping, and playing. We use appropriate weighted weights occasionally with this age group. 

 

Middle School Age: 11 - 13

Young teens are working through a lot between balancing school, friends, and sports. Growth spurts, body control, and confidence are challenges they face everyday. In this program, we focus on "formcentric" strength training to improve muscular development, bone density, decease the risk potential of a sports related injury, and most importantly help build confidence.  

 

High School Age: 14-18

These years are important for building healthy habits, creating a solid mental state, and the ability to balance school-work-life. At this age, we see two types of teens: ones interested in general health, and ones focused on sport related performance. We focus on injury prevention, muscular strength, hypertrophy, and college prep for sports as well as building overall healthy habits to carry with them for a lifetime. 

All training programs include:

  • Weekly Training Sessions (Private, Semi-Private, or Class)

  • Fitness Assessments​​

AND

  • Saturday Family Group Classes for your entire household

Positive Reinforcement

The PEAK Junior Athletes Achievement system, referred to as "PEAK Points", was created to provide recognition for both athletic achievement and good behavior. It’s a progressive accumulative point system with monthly and annual rankings. At the end of each month, the junior with the highest number of points is awarded a prize!

 

The achievement system can be viewed here and is updated each month.
